Slow Cooker Swiss Cheese Shredded Beef Sliders


Just an easy simple crockpot meal anyone can make! If you love Swiss cheese and beef sliders, this is the recipe for you! 

Ingredients 

  • 2 1/2-pound boneless beef chuck roast 

  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt 

  • 1 medium onion, cut into 1/2-inch slices 

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil 

  • 14-ounce vegetable broth 

  • 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 

  • 4 tbsp butter Instructions 

  • 12 slider-sized buns 

  • 12 slices Swiss cheese 




Instructions

  1. Season each side of the chuck roast with seasoning salt. Set slow cooker on Low and spread-out onion slices in a layer on the bottom of the pot. Save a few slices for the top of the roast. Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium high heat until the oil shimmers. Brown seasoned roast in the hot oil, about 4 minutes per side. Place on top of the onion slice layer, add butter, and pour vegetable and Worcestershire sauce over the top. Cover with saved onion slices.

  2. Cover and cook on Low until the beef is very tender, 8 to 10 hours. 

  3. In a crockpot use two forks, shred the meat and discard fat and membranes and keep warm. 

  4. Open buns and place on a baking sheet. Add Swiss cheese on top of buns as the first layer, then add shredded meat on top of cheese. Add remaining Swiss slices on top of shredded meat. place the top of the buns on top. 

  5. Place a baking sheet of sliders in the oven at 350 Degrees Fahrenheit and bake for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted. 

  6. Take out of the oven and serve warm.
