Hot Italian Sausage Sausage Gravy, biscuits, & Eggs

This meal is not only good for breakfast! Breakfast for dinner has always been my favorite, delicious but so fattening!

Ingredients

  • 9 tablespoons salted butter

  • 1 cup large onion, diced

  • 2-pound ground hot Italian sausage

  • 1.5 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 3⁄4 teaspoon salt

  • 3⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 3⁄4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 9 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 6 cups whole milk

  • 4 slices of bread

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 (8 CT) Honey Butter Biscuits

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat; stir in onion. Cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent.

  2. Add sausage, pepper, salt, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Cook and stir until sausage is browned and crumbly.

  3. While cooking sausage, place biscuits 1 to 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake in the oven to 350°F, about 13 to 16 minutes or until golden brown.

  4. Stir the flour into browned sausage until well blended and cook for about 2 minutes. Increase heat to medium and slowly add milk, stirring as you go. Cook and stir until gravy thickens and is heated through.

  5. After your gravy is done, on another skillet cook your eggs in whatever style you like. Then toast bread.

  6. Place a few biscuits onto a plate and smother them in sausage gravy and then add you eggs to the plate with toast.

  7. Enjoy! :)
